I quite like this picture. It conveys a quality beyond this is my friend doing fashion pictures.You mentioned that you liked the out of focus quality of the catalogue picture.I think this was achieved by bringing the model way from the background and using a largeaperture to minimize the depth of field.In most of your shots the model is quite close to the background which makes it harder to achievethat effect.In taking fashion pictures the precise arrangement of arms and legs can be crucial - also posture.In directing your models ask for small changes in the pose to get closer to what you had previsualized. - feedback from recent uploads
